Master of Arts

According to the latest prospectus 2020-2021 by the English and Foreign Languages University, there are a number of postgraduate courses which are being offered. Following full-time MA courses are being currently offered:

• English
• English Literature
• Literatures in English
• Comparative Literature
• Linguistics
• English Language Teaching
• Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC)
• Hindi
• Computational Linguistics
• Arabic Language and Literature
• French Language and Literature
• German Language and Literature
• Hispanic Language and Literature
• Russian Language and Literature

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for the above courses the candidate must:

• Pass in the Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 55% marks for general/OBC candidates, and 50% marks for SC/ST category candidates 

OR

• Pursuing the qualifying programme mentioned above (provided the candidate will have passed the examination by the time of the admission and has scored the minimum eligibility marks as mentioned above) (Note: In the case of Hons. degree, only Hons. marks will be considered.) 

For Computational Linguistics the eligibility criteria is as follows:

• A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:

1. Linguistics 
2. English (with at least 10 credits in Linguistics) 
3. Computer Science and /or Engineering and Technology
4. Computer Applications
5. Mathematics and Physics with 55% marks for general/OBC candidates, and 50% marks for SC/ST category candidates

OR 

• Pursuing any of the qualifying programmes mentioned above (provided the candidate will have passed the examination by the time of the admission and has scored the minimum eligibility marks as mentioned above) (Note: In the case of Hons. degree, only Hons.
